Master of Divinity

The MDiv is designed primarily for persons committed to the ordained ministry as pastors, Christian leaders or theologians in congregations and other settings. The objective of program is to nurture servant and visionary leaders for the churches. It attempts to help the student grow in spiritual depth and moral integrity; to give the student comprehensive knowledge in biblical and theological studies; to train the student in developing the specific skills needed for effective ministry and public leadership and to develop a deep understanding of the cultural and social context. Normally, a student will complete the program in three-year full time studies which is totally six semesters.

Program Requirements
  • Registered and enrolled in the program for the duration of 3 years
  • Completion of the required 6 semesters
  • Completion of 96 total credits of core courses
  • Completion of 18 total credits of elective courses
  • Completion of 3 credits of thesis
  • Passing grade of field education
  • Accumulation of 114 credits that are required for graduation
Notes
  • Minimum of three elective courses must be from the student's specialized area, and the three elective courses can be from any other area.

Admission Requirements
  • An applicant who applies for the MDiv program must show a certificate acknowledging his or her success in the matriculation examination and also obtain at least a bachelors' degree from any country.
  • An applicant with BTh degree from any accredited school, and by having affiliated with KTCS, can still be considered for admission after having discussed among academic dean and the admission committee members.
  • The application forms of the BTh graduates from any non-accredited school, and not being affiliated yet with the KTCS, can still be considered by having discussed among academic dean and admission committee members.
  • All the successful applicants are required to sit for an entrance examination. And those who passed the entrance examination can become active students of KTCS.
